Most of our railroad books, CDs and posters are photos
from the Roy Campbell collection, many which have never been published.
Roy was a railroad hobbyist, vice-president of the Railroad Society of
Milwaukee and an avid railroad photographer. His artistic photographs
won awards in exhibitions in Milwaukee's Layton Art Gallery. In
addition to his own photography he amassed one of the largest and
finest private collections in the Midwest.
Information accompanying the photos was researched by life-long
railfan, Thomas E. Burg, with the assistance of Ralph Wehlitz, a master
model railroader.

Chicago's Steam Suburbans
ISBN: 978-0-9795752-1-1
Before today's sleek, diesel or

pull them. This book contains 169 photos selected from this collection,
covering operations of the Illinois Central, C&EI, Rock Island,
Wabash, Burlington, Wisconsin Central, C&NW and Milwaukee Road.
